Description
Brno’s population (about 400,000) and size make it the second largest city in the Czech Republic, located at the confluence of the Svitava and Svratka rivers. Brno is the natural center of southern Moravia and the capital of the South Moravia Region. The city has preserved many of its old and architecturally valuable buildings – churches, monasteries and palaces. This church is better known as the Red Church because of its walls made of unplastered bricks. It stands on Comenius Square and was built in the 19th century. The Red Church’s excellent acoustics make it a favorite venue for concerts.
